Looking for accommodation?

We warmly welcome you to enjoy a relaxed and memorable stay in our small, but unique Hotel Saima, in the heart of the old town of Savonlinna, close to St. Olaf’s castle.

We ask you to make your booking for a specific room, please read more about the individual rooms from their links below:

The newly created boutique style accommodation consists of 6 rooms in total, including 5 double rooms with en-suite bathrooms and a twin room with separate bathroom facilities. All the hotel rooms in this historic ‘1897’ building have been renovated into high standard hotel rooms in 2017. With a couple of rooms still boasting their original wallpaper designs of years gone by, other rooms have been lovingly and sympathetically created using the existing wooden roof beams and sloping ceilings.

As soon as you walk in through the front door, you are surrounded by the very welcoming atmosphere and the smell of freshly ground coffee and baked hot pastries. We are well known locally for our excellent coffee using Paulig’s lightly roasted coffee beans which are ground only moments before brewing.

Our small, but varied café-restaurant style menu offers something for everyone. When in Savonlinna you really must try the local dish ‘Muikku’, these small white fish are caught from the nearby Lake Saimaa, fried with rye flour and butter, and served with Ulla’s fresh creamed potatoes, or try our delicious creamy salmon soup.
