To make the most of the beautiful garden space at Saima House, the terrace was created. The terrace accommodates up to 75 seated guests, who can enjoy a coffee, glass of prosecco or a light lunch, all whilst enjoying the fine Finnish weather. From the terrace, we also provide easy access for prams and wheelchairs.
It was decided that major changes were needed (but still sympathetic to the old building character) to change the small café into the café restaurant and to accommodate the larger number of guests we were now catering for. This enabled the café to offer an increased selection of freshly cooked meals from the larger kitchen, the ability to cater for greater private events with increased space and flexibility in the main rooms and to offer better and more spacious washroom facilities for our guests. After 5 months of building work, copious amounts of dust, lots of workmen and loud banging, we were finally able to open the new Café Restaurant Saima.
